'The Whisperer' is my first full screendance work and one I am very proud of.
The Whisperer is a part silent black and white screendance film which looks at the subject of Anxiety . The film is one persons journey and reflects their emotions through movement.
"It is often hard to speak about what is happening and how I feel. I feel lonely and trapped like there's no path to escape. I become consumed in this world where only I understand. Sometimes I wish there was someone to support and hold me up. Take me under their wing and support me when I need it the most. Then I could feel safe. Start to feel I could escape"
The film is edited in Black and White to take out all colour and focus purely on feeling and emotion. It also symbolises how anxiety suffers often feel drained and detached from their surroundings.
The Whisperer was first released as a full screendance in partnership with 'Hidden Issues' in January 17. The film is very personal and has a great connection to my own personal experiences, which I hope will educate and inspire those who watch it.
