About the projectHidden Issues is a Dance and theatre project funded by 02 Think Big. It uses elements of Dance, Theatre and Photography to educate people on Anxiety and how so many people suffer yet it goes so un-noticed.
The project works in several ways to educate about real people's suffering with Anxiety and Mental Health. We use Dance and movement as the main method of showcasing the real stories that have from extensive research. Anxiety is such a common problem with so many suffering in different ways, yet it is still so difficult to be open and honest about it. Hidden Issues explores not only how we can create performances to educate others but also how Dance and Movement can be used as an alternative therapy for sufferers to express how they feel without having to be vocal. Hidden Issues is lucky enough to be funded by 02 Think Big. We are still looking for Volunteer Dancers and performers to participate in the project. If you would like to get involved please email [email protected] stating your experience and interest in the project. |

Hidden Issues works on creating opportunities for people who suffer with Anxiety and other Mental Health to express their emotions through Dance and Movement.
We are based in Manchester and aim to connect with the local communities to provide workshops for those who need an alternative form of release. So far we have created workshops for performers who suffer with Anxiety and want to use movement as a experimental form of release. Alongside the above, Hidden Issues also hold several workshops for Dancers and Actors to come and be a part of the project itself. We are always on the look out for performers to get involved in our research workshops and come and experiment with stories. Due to the sensitive nature of the project and the sensitivity of using real life stories we ask that all participants must be 16+ |
